I lost my original ipod earphones and i need to get new ones, the sound quality was poor so i was getting some earphones later.
Right now i'm thinking spending 100 bucks or 200 don't know yet my options are e2c, e3c, UE super fi 3 or super fi 5 pro black, ety 6i black, Panasonic RP-HJE70. I listen dance, electronic, rock, metal, hip-hop and sometimes rap, grudge. I read that the shures are good with instrumental music o do not listen that kind of music.
The super fi 5 pro are what i'm thinking or the Panasonic RP-HJE70 is there a lot of diference? i know about the price but it is worthy? By the way i have a 5gen ipod black so it's better if the earphones comes in black.

Today, I think that the SuperFi 5EB is better than the HJE70. I didn't yesterday, I may not tomorrow. But more often than not, I think they have a slight edge, though I'm concerned about the robustness and build quality. Is that slight edge worth the price difference ($89 vs $250)? Why is it that the HJE70s are still my usual headphone of choice, while the SuperFi 5s seldom venture out of the drawer?
I don't have answers, I'm afraid.
But I would say that you can rule out the SuperFi 3, the Ety ER6i and the Shure E2C straight away, and that the E3C doesn't really cut it either.
Good luck with your decision.

My suggestion is for the Panasonic. The sounds is great and the build will last, plus the price too. If you want headphones that sound good and are portable, there are quite a few high end clip-on type headphones like those from AudioTechnica. The sound out of some of those blows away the competition in the same price range and have superior metal construction.

I think it's doing a disservice to the people asking advice to say something like this. I realize that this is your opinion, but to say these are all bad phonesa and nobody should like them is not right. Like I've said, look on google and you'll find a lot of good reviews for any of these. Even on the site you mentioned - head-fi.org - they have a good review of the er-6i. All of these people can't be morons. Judging earphones is highly subjective. You have to take into account the music style, hearing sensitivity, and fidelity preference. There are a lot of weel repected people in the industry that have the opposite opinion of you about these phones. Does that mean you're wrong? No, but you should respect their opinion also.
I'm in the same boat about choosing a pair of earphones in the $100 dollar or less range, so I appreciated your opinion of the Panasonics. Finding them to give them a try is difficult though, that's why I'd like to hear what others have to say about them.

I speak from experience, since I actually own all of the phones under discussion.
When I say: "I would say" I'm plainly expressing opinion, and not fact, though you only have to listen to the SuperFi 3 and the Ety ER6i to hear that they're inferior to the HJE or the Fi5, and while the Shure E2C is closer, it's not as good and it's painfully uncomfortable.
I would absolutely disagree that I'm doing anyone a disservice by drawing their attention to the very poor performance of particular headphones, many of which have been hyped to the hilt by know-nothings, audio-snobs, and people who haven't heard the alternatives. I own all of these, and I paid good money for some of them, and warning folk that they don't match the hype is doing a public service.
Everyone I know who can compare the HJE to the ER6i or E2C rates the Panasonics more highly, with just one exception.

I have the Shure e4c, Super.fi 5 pro, and the Ety ER6i. My preference is for the Ety.
I have trouble with the fit on the Super.fis. They are large. While I can get a good seal and the sound is good (bass heavy with rolled off highs), they don't stay in my ears when I move.
The Shure E4cs have beautiful vocals, but not much separation. The bass is OK, not as good as the Super.fis. The mid tones on the Shures are a standout, but I don't think the balance is very good.
My preference is the Ety. The balance is very good. The highs are beautifully detailed. There is plenty of bass for me. An added plus is these are the least expensive of the three.
This is my preference, obviously, and others will have different ideas. Preferences depend on fit (everyones ears are different), and the type of music you like. Just wanted to post to let folks know that some of us who have heard all of these have a preference for the ER6i.

rcontrerastaule , from the music you listed and the I.E.M.s your thinking about my opinion would be the U.E.s (I only own the U.E. superfi.5 pro's and the Shure E3cs not the others you listed , so I will only talk of them). The U.E.s do a fantastic job on many types of music because of the dual driver design , not the best for all though , no I.E.M. can. I find the Shures better for classical or older country (where vocals are emphisized) and most acoustic music.
I Have heard a pair of the Ety's for a short period of time , they have spectacular clarity and presence and detail with classical music (best I have heard). I did not have enough time with them to really give any full opinion though , they are on my "to buy" list as are the Panny's but im just to happy with what I have at the moment.
As I think was mentioned earlier in this thread , it is very hard to really reccomend an I.E.M. because of so many different tastes in music , how sound is percieved , fitment and comfort , and the list goes on and on.... All these things are highly subjective and in the end it is all just opinion. As far as customer service though , both Shure and U.E. have been top notch for most who have to dea with them (including me). As to be is expected with smaller high end oriented companies , so that is a huge plus IMHO. Well good luck. EDIT LOL sorry a few post's up you said you were going for the Pannys oh well , I should'nt drink and post :)
