i have reinstalled the programs about 5 times within the past 2 days and i can't get them to detect the ipod. windows does detect it though. it plays the usb connection sound, and in my computer it shows the ipod name and drive letter, and in the system tray it shows the safely remove hardware (with the ipod and attached letter there).
it is a brand new ipod video black (30 gb). it connected earlier, in itunes, but i didn't have updated usb drivers (it was stuck on USB 1.1) so i updated those, and then itunes couldn't find it. i rolled back the drivers, and even after that, it didn't want to find it (but it still detects in windows).
please help, cause im getting POd.... if nothing works, i need to reformat my comp on saturday, which i don't feel like doing at all.
