Using 2 ipods on 1 computer?

My brother has a ipod mini, and im getting a ipod video next week and i was just wondering how we use 2 ipods on 1 computer? Because everytime we put the ipod in it updates.. I tryed downloading itunes manager but it gave me these 2 files and i didnt know what to do with them? Please help anyone.

Your options available are:
#1- You can put one iPod on 'manually manage songs & playlists' and just drag-n-drop songs onto it when updating.
#2- You can sync via the 'playlist' option (edit>preferences>iPod> while connected). Then just make up playlists for yourself and put all of you playlists in a folder with your name or iPod's name on it.

Make sure you have the updater installed on the computer. Charge your iPod and if you have any problems with it connecting just use the Updater and restore it.
