So, you don't have an external HD or iPod to transfer it to? Actually... you could use a usb thumb drive (if you have one) and transfer it between computers. Or... buy more CD-Rs. How big is the 3000 files together?

1. DVD Burner, 3 or 4 discs.

2. if you have an iPod upload all the items onto the iPod then use PodUtil which is a good program for retrieveing items from your iPod.

3. CD Burner, a lot more discs than a DVD burner but it will work just the same.

You have a 30GB iPod and can use it as a storage drive to store the info on the HD and transfer it back to the computer when done. If your library is on the iPod you can transfer it back from the iPod and if there is room on it store the other on the HD.

That sounds good that you found a solution, however it's much easier if it's all synced to your iPod.

No work neccessary just format your computer, then download podutil, it launch it and check mark all the media. Press copy and that's it.

1) Sync - Synchronize

2) Download PodUtil and there should be clear instructions on either the site or on the program itself. If there are problems you can post them on here.

3) Yes, but...
