Ever notice on the 20gigs that if you let the battery run down and go to turn it back on the sliver apple comes up like it had just reset the firmware?
Well I also notice that when that happens, all my album art is gone, and the only way to fix it is to sync it and use the 'fix'.(click on show album art, then un check it)
Does anyone know why the databse of art just deletes like that? It only happens when the sliver apple comes up, which only happens when I drain the batts and forget to charge.
Does that mean every time I forget to charge, I loose the art? That sucks then. Having to do that fix.
Any Ideas?
Question 2
I have noticed the sound distortion that every one talks about. The answer is to get more impedance, a higher ohms headphone. The problem is that I do't hear it in my headphones, I hear it in my car. I have an indash factory cd stack that came with 7 speakers, and I can hear the distortion in the tweeters.
Because of the cd stack, the only way to wire my ipod was an inline fm modulator. (by inline meaning hardwired between the antenna cable and the headunit. When used with other devices, it sounds like my car is parked 3 feet away from the radio tower and is great. However the distortion appears on my 20gig.
The modulator takes L+R RCA from my 3.5 ipod jack. Is there a way that would increase the impedance without using power (or only ciglighter power)? I have seen headphone amplifiers that some have tried, but they seem to draw from the ipods battery, which readin the question above, (even though I have a car charger) I forget it alot.
Any ideas?
