i know my sony 71's are a hassle with this , i recently got some ety 6i but have yet to open them? how do these compare with the earwax build up and cleaning of the bud?

The 6i buds are hard to put on and take out. I intend to use a cup, dangle the whole heaphones over the cup edge so only the tip touches the cleaning solution and do it that way.

It would depend on which earphone you're talking about.

Regardless of the brand, it's a good idea to clean them often, especially if you use them a lot.

However, I use mine very infrequently so I don't seem to have any problems with them being dirty so I just give them a wipe over from time to time.

ewwwww, this thread can get pretty gross I'm guessing.

That's the reason why I q-tip my ears every single night after I take a shower. I hate it when people dont' and you can even see brown gunk all over their ears from a few feet away. Then they ask to listen to your iPod. I just immediately put my iPod away. I guess you should put some rubbing alcohol on a towel clean the earbuds and keep your ears clean to prevent new dirt getting on the earbuds.
