I've been "demoing" headphones for my shuffle for a couple of weeks. The choices, reviews and opinions are driving me nuts :) So far I have purchase the following:
Sony MDR-EX81: OK, returned and bought 51s, didn't like ear hooks
Sony MDR-EX 51: decent sound quality will keep as backup or sell, lack detail & volume
OEM Sennheiser CX300: purchased on eBay just to see how they stack up against the real deal. Haven't received yet
Creative EP630: very nice but will return at retail store casue I have the fake ones on the way :)
I've had my eye on the Shures for a while. Most reviews are great but a few complain about comfort. When I saw the E2G for 63.99 at buy.com, I couldn't resist. I am really hoping these are "the ones". The 2 yr warranty and cust service rep is a plus.
I may have been happy with the sony's but after I stumbled on this forum, I was off to the races. I ddn't realize this decision would be so agonizing :)
