Black or White ipod?

Just wondering if you have a black or a white ipod. If you have both which do you prefer? I like black because its different than the classic white.:)

But I really like that they are offering more than one color. A good decision on their part.

Got a black 5G 30G ....well, i thot d black was really cool, sleek, different, blah blah blah b4 purchase. Now kinda regret it, the scratches is very obvious. Also, with a silicon case protector, there seem to be stain & static dust is very obvious. Now searching thru forum for best suggestion to remove and prevent scratch.

I purchased a white 30GB iPod on the 20th of April. I love the classic white iPod. It seems like everybody has the black 30GB iPod and I wanted to be different. The kid next door owns a black 30GB, and although they are made out of the same material, it still shows scratches way easier.

I purchased a white iPod, and I won't regret it.

a tougher philsophical question is if black pod, white earphones is a no-no :)

Obviously I expect things to get scratched eventually--hell, my BMW has got a nice scratch on the door panel--but from what I've heard, the ipods attract scratches like honey does flies, and I would like to retain the 'like new' status as long as possible. And the glossy black, while cool, appears to show fingerprints as well as scratches much easier. It does seem like Apple has gone more for 'form' than 'function' when the first recommended/mandatory accessory suggested by most people is a case/protector.

Black was the new white when the Nano first came out. Thats what I got. whites been around for a while, needs a change as it's old hat now.

I had a black 60GB with Video but I went back to my white 60GB Photo. I prefer the iconic iPod White and also I'm not too keen on the G5's sharp front edges and easy to scratch finish.
Plus every single person I know with a G5 has it in black, same with the Nano. At least the Nano's gonna come in different colours soon!

My black iPod isn't scratched up and iPods don't ''attact'' scratches. If your iPod is all scratched up then look at how 'your' using it and what 'your' doing or not doing to protect it. I left the plastic on my iPod and don't have any problems with it being all scratched up. I have a white one as well.

I have a white, one of the big things for me was how the black shows scratches a lot easier than the white. The guy at Future Shop told me that white would show dirt, but I've had it out of the case and there is minimal scratches and no dirt at all.

I HAD a black Nano, but I traded it with my bro for his Mini because it's capacity was wayyy too small.
Now, I am the (proud?) owner of a blue 2G Mini. If I had to buy a video iPod right now, I would get white, just because i've already owned a black iPod and white seems more "OAI" (Original Apple iPod)

White for the iconic sake, Black as my personal preference. I don't understand the black shows scratches more theory either..it certainly doesn't show them anymore than my white one did.

Well it appears lots of people like black. I personally favour white. I had a black nano 1G, but it got fingerprinty and scratches showed. But I love white, its the original iPod colour, looks very sexy(yes, black too) and doesn't show scratches either!:)

The white isn't bad. If white was the only color (like it used to be) I'd still want an iPod. I just prefer the black one. :)

I have a white iPod, and it was one of the hardest choices I had to make whether I wanted a black or white one. I got white because my sister got black and I wanted to be able to distinguish the two. Plus white's original. For the nano I got white too to match my 80gb.

I like both. Got black this time because I wanted to try something different. I would like both depending on what mood I am in. I wish they did them in more colours like the Nano, plus the MacBook, that would be really cool.

I want a blue MacBook. Apple take note.
