Using Ipod as Hard Disk

Can someone tell me the pros and cons of using the ipod as a hard disk. Does this mean i can put all of my photos, and songs on my ipod, and get more space on my computer? Will i still be able to listen to songs, and use my ipod like i normally would?

Any help would be appreciated.

If you use it as a hard disk you can still listen to music also. Your best bet is to make sure you have the files backed up because HD will crash even the iPod HD. At least back up your files to data disk.
