My 60 gig iPod photo just started acting funky on me. While I was running last week, it played about the first minute or two of a song, then would turn off. After three times, I just ran in silence.
When I got home, and pressed any button, I got a small, black & white charging icon. I hooked it to my computer, and it came on. I noticed the backlight was set to "always on", figured that was my problem, turned the backlight to 20 seconds, and charged it.
It worked ok for a couple of days, then it wouldn't turn on in my car charger. I took it out, reset it, and when I placed it back in the car charger, it went dead. Now, whenever I try to reset it, it sometimes resets, sometimes stays dead, sometimes displays the small low battery icon. When it resets, and I plug it in to charge, it dies again. If I reset it while charging, it comes back to life, but then dies when I remove the charger. I'm giving it plenty of time to recharge, and when it comes back to life, the battery icon is full. But then it dies anyway, displaying the low battery icon.
I've tried draining the battery, but when I reset it while hooked to my computer or the wall outlet, it stops resetting as soon as I release the buttons.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Phil
