IPOD stuck in on position

My ipod is stuck in the middle of a song and won't shut off or respond to a soft reset..

Any ideas?

Really, It won't reset? Hmmmm... is it able to mount to a computer? If it is then, can't you just reformat it and use the ipod updater and restore it. You'll lose your songs but hey, you won't lose your ipod. :-( I hope this helps. Good luck.
