Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. I was getting this error message for the longest and finally found a solution that worked for me and wanted to share...

1. Backed up contacts using the Export Feature.

2. Opened Outlook 2003sp2, clicked on Tools, Email Accounts, in the Directory section, View Change and clicked on next, at this point I removed all Address Book entries. Closed Outlook. This did not delete "MY" contacts.

3. Opened Outlook, clicked on Tools, Email Accounts, in the Directory section, clicked on Add a new directory, and clicked on next, clicked on Additional Address Book, choose Oulook Address Book.

4. Open itunes and it synced my contacts...it synced so fast I didn't realize that it synced.

I hope this information helps you.

Thanks.

Thanks for the help. I recently got a new PC and transferred my Outlook PST to the new PC. Ever since, I couldn't synch the contacts. In fact, everytime I would try, iTunes would crash then the system would lock up requiring a hard reboot. Your tip did the trick!!

Thanks again.

Thanks so much to "ipodLloyd the Freshman Lounger" for his solution of removing and then re-adding the Outlook Address book to fix a problem in syncing iTunes 7 with MS Outlook 2003.
I had been syncing contacts with Outlook for months with no problem. Suddenly, when I tried to sync w/ Outlook contacts, iTunes kept crashing.
After having done all the "5 R's" that Apple recommended http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303940 , reinstalling Outlook, and hours of searching the web for the right solution, I happily stumbed about Lloyd's solution!:D
Thanks, Lloyd!
