I am pretty much set on picking up a set of Shure's in-ear phones, (thanks for all of the input from you guys) but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the e1s, as they are somewhat close in price to the e2. I like the idea that they would be a little smaller and also being able to get ear molds made, but would the sound quality vary that much. Thanks for the feedback!

You can get earmolds for the E2s too (Westone makes them). Try them both if you can, and decide. But if you're interested in the E1's, I'd wait--they're apparently going to be replaced with an updated version (Perhaps Sugarfried can help us out here, I think I read this in one of his posts either here or at headfi), which I think you'll be happier with--the changes they're making to it make it a more viable option for portability, especially for activity IMHO...I don't know when the new ones are coming out (Actually I think they're going to replace the E1's--they're going to have a different name), or how expensive they'll be. SUGARFRIED, WHERE ARE YOU???:D

Hi there. I hope you all had nice holidays (those of you in the US, anyway).
Early next year we'll have a new model available. At this point it looks to be in early January. We'll be putting the official information on our website in the next week or so, but in the meantime there's just this (http://att.com.com/4520-6603_7-5108371.html).
It will replace the E1.
