my new 30GB iPod is possessed by Madonna

I finally got an iPod on the date of the launch at my Apple Store, splurged for the 30GB and all. Woo Hoo for me.

Nearly every morning, I remove my iPod from it's dock to take it to work with me. I make sure it's OFF, and then I lock it, with the little lock thingie on the top, slide it into it's case, and put it in my backpack. When I get to work, I take it out of my backpack, and out of it's case, and it's ON, playing Madonna !!!

What's going on? Is there a short in the lock mechanism that might get activated if it bumps into a loose quarter or something metal in my backpack?

if you have the remote plugged in check if u locked that one aswell if not call a exorcist

No remote attached, I leave that at home since I just plug it into my external speakers at the office.... hmmm, she's b a a a c k ....

And it's ALWAYS Madonna ... never anything else... really strange!

Delete all Madonna songs, then see if it still happens. Maybe it's an omen.

I used my alarm setting for a few days, and forgot to disable it. I found out about it by realizing the last played times for a bunch of songs was during my nephew's baptism (no, I wasn't listening in church.)

The alarm seems to disregard the lock setting. Check if your alarm is set for sometime in the morning.
