Are there any third party plugs (or perhaps another manufacture -like Shure or etymotics, etc.) that work better with the UE 5 pro - other than those plugs that come shipped with it?

Good choice on the superfi.5 pro's , I have them and they really are a great sounding I.E.M. for just about all kinds of music. They use a much thicker stem than the Shure's or the Ety's so the tips from them won't fit the U.E.s. Here's a link to what you basically get for the fitment kit with the Pro's. Just take your time and get a good seal and try all the tips for awhile to see what gives the best sound and comfort. I have been switching between the small silicone tips (sound a little brighter) and the foams (darker sound and more bass , better isolation also). Have fun.
