Itunes closes when i delete

Everything works great except when i try to delete a song file by clicking on the song and hitting either 'clear' or 'delete', itunes closes. When i re-open it, the song is still there. Hurry, my 10 gigs are about full!!

Welcome. Try reinstalling iTunes.

I will lose my library though, correct?

Your music is in your music folder and all you have to do is move the library so that iTunes is not pointing toward the folder.
