I just got an external hard drive and moved all my music onto it but now whenever I plug in the ipod while the hard drive is plugged in, a message pops up in the bottom right corner of the screen saying "usb device not recognized." Then when I uplug the hard drive the ipod works fine. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
