Please someone help me - i'm lost without my ipod!
Basically, i use it everyday and one day i switched it on and all my songs had gone - all 5000 of them!
I came straight to this site and i learned that the songs were still there as the full capacity wasnt available.
I have tried resetting it hundreds of times and that didnt work and so after 100 attempts, i finally managed to restore it using the ipod updater.
Now, when i load itunes and connect my ipod, it doesnt recognise my ipod and eventually says that it needs formatted for windows and then loads the ipod updater.
This then says that it is up to date and only gives me a restore option.
I have checked in the settings on the ipod and it is formatted for windows!!!
I have re-installed itunes too and my laptop is new so that is all up to date with usb 2.0 etc.
The only thing i dont have is the original cd that came with the ipod - do u think i need this as i have restored my ipod to original factory settings?
I am about to give up and buy a new one but i think that i might have the same prob with a new one and my own is only 13 months old!!
