Help With Burning Music

Hi All,
This is my first post and would appreciate your help.
I have an iPod Video and I am attempting to burn my first music CD.
when I went in to iTunes to the box where I have to select the format to burn my music in i.e.Audio,MP3 or Data,I noticed a message saying 'No Disc Recording Software Found'
I thought that iTunes was the software??

Yeah, I would think so too.

Your system does have CD read-write drive, right? Can you burn a regular data disk okay?

I haven't tried burning anything so far.

that's a DVD burner not a CD-Rom burner, so you can't burn CD's with a DVD burner. Do you have 2 drives on your computer? If you do: Try to use the other drive if its a CD burner.
