i tried searching the ipod forums and found nothing, then i tried looking here, and still nothing :( maybe someone else has had this problem.

everything was great, but i reformatted my computer. I replug in my ipod, and all songs are gone, o well no biggie ill reput them on there. So i reinstalled the latest Itunes, and the lastest Ipod updater for my ipod mini...i load up itunes, put some songs in the library..i click on "update" where in the past they load onto my ipod...they wont update onto it.

Now i tried reinstally itunes and reseting my ipod and such. But now, i cant even get Itunes to respond. When i click on the icon on my desktop, itunes opens and freezes automatically.

has anyone heard of either problem? the songs not updating and/or itunes completely freezing?

any help is greatly appreciated. thank you

You may need to install updates on your computer. Use the system restore on windows and see if that helps. If not then use the windows install disk repair option to repair windows.

I am having the exact same problem. Out of the blue itunes will not even open anymore, I just get the window saying itunes has encountered a problem. I tried reinstalling, uninstalling and installing again of both the itunes that came with my ipod (photo) and the latest itunes off of the website, but still I get the exact same problem.....

if iTunes totally unresponsive (even when no iPOD plugged in), your PC is SICK. Put'on your Windows Administrator cap.

"reput" - OMG, I hope that doesn't end up in Wikipedia!!! Shakespeare is turning on his grave just about now.

If everything else is working perfectly on my Pc I see no reason as to why it would only be itunes not working properly. Perhaps it is apples crappy software, because I am fairly certain that it is not my PC. Even so reinstalling windows, and or reformatting is going a little to far to fix such a minor problem as this, I am not going to do all that just because of apples crappy software.... (I shouldve bought a zen....)

Hi Holmessean and Quatro, I have excatly the same problem and it's very frustrating. And the only solution I see is reformatting the computer (which I severly do not want to do). I am starting to regret buying an ipod when this problem (iTunes) would'nt happen with other mp3 players. I really hope someone can help us out.
