I bought the 9500 for a combination of uses - travel, exercise, casual listening, etc. They are great. Bass response is very good, I'd call it neutral
These earphones are very comfortable to wear. I can wear them for a long period and the sound blows away the some earbuds I have tried.
I strongly recommend these earbuds to anyone who wants immersive, comfortable and excellent sound. It is an excellent set of earphones that are well worth the money.

The 9500s are marginally better than the Sony EX51/71, but why buy them when for virtually the same price you can get the Sennheiser CX300, which represents a quantum improvement?

CX300 is good but SHE9501 is a lot better

I looked at the 9500 but I am not sure I would like having one cord shorter than the other. How does it feel to have the wire behind your neck instead of in front of you? I usually keep the my ipod Nano in my left shirt pocket at work.

the behind your neck design is pretty good feature! the cord of the 9500 is pretty long and keeping your nano in pocket should not have any problem.

but without the extension cord is it long enough to be used?
(i hate the extension cord headphones! they make it so long and heavy on the ears. inless my ipod had a remort or something)

Well, I get called strange by my friends because of my personality, but I didn't notice that. I don't remember recommending specifically Sennheiser because I've never tried them. I recommend the Creative phones because I've had them for about a week (sounding a whole lot better now that I got the perfect fit) and I've heard from countless people that they sound the same. I just assumed that it wouldn't matter which one you got. I hope you're not getting any ideas of a conspiracy to jack up sales for Sennheiser.

if you want to put your ipod on your front pocket, it is long enough to be used. I personally like the extension cord since reach of the headphone plug to my headphone amp...

Have you heard about ATH-CM4? It is a LONG CORD design...
Here below is the LONG CORD list:

SHE7600 <---thanks for your info ....Arena
ATH-CK7
ATH-CM4
But I am considering one in-ear headphone, like ATH-CK7, not sure the major difference between SHE9500 & ATH-CK7, any suggestion?

TommyBoy,
"These guys seem like always supporting "Sennheiser"
WRONG!
I do recommend the CX300 over some inferior phones, but I recommend the Panasonic HJE70 even more strongly, and for those who aren't bass heads I often recommend the Audio Technica ATH CK7.
When people are talking about cheap headphones, the CX300 is my recommendation, and I would ALWAYS recommend it over the Phillips in-ears, which are mediocre, or the Sony EX series, which are very poor.

Currently, I am owning Panasonic HNJ50 Neck Strap headphone, does Philips 7600 comes with some kinds of Neck Strap type?
Actually, HNJ50 is a pretty good design, besides that it has a bad bad design about "Neck Strap" (if you hang a iPod nano, you will know what I feel)
Any clue about 7600 Neck Strap?

CK7 are a lot better than the SHE9500! SHE9500 are good phone around $20! And Ck7 are nice in-ear under $100.
