Is is possible to use the shure sleeves on other earphones? I'm wondering if I can use them on either the sennheiser cx300s or the creative ep630s? Also, what are the differences between the foam, clear silicon and the black silicon sleeves?

i doubt you can use shure sleeves on those headphones u mentioned
the stems on the sennheisers and creatives are much bigger than those on shures
to answer your second question, the yellow foam will expand in your ears much like foam earplugs. the clear silicon sleeves are much stiffer than the black ones
although most ppl prefer the foams, the plugs don't last very long while the silicon sleeves can be washed and reused

Thanks for clearing that up because I read on an amazon review for the sleeves that they work on the earphones. I really wasn't sure if it was true, but your explanation about the stems cleared it up.

You might want to do a search at head-fi.org, as there are a number of threads on that forum devoted to using different manufacturer's sleeves with another manufacturer's in-ear monitors.
A lot of folks seem to like the new Shure black foam tips (referred to as "olives") that are smooth on the outside and can be cleaned. They've come up with a lot of ways to put these on different IEM stems.

The black foams are definitely the best of the bunch.
