Apple only ever mentioned that the iPod could play music and store things, they never said it could save your life, but it can! lol. Me and a friend were walking along a small road that had the electricity blown out, so the lights weren't working, and it was pitch black. My friend was joking around in the middle of the road, he tripped and got his leg caught in a gutter and it was so dark i couldn't see how to get it out. Before i could free him, a car was speeding towards us, i had nothing on me that would reflect car headlights, so i took out my iPod and turned it on, and the car slowed down. The driver said the only way he saw me was the strong light from the iPod...lol thank you Apple! the iPod's a lifesaver, no joke.

That is crazy!! Apple should post that on their web site! Talk about a testimonial.

You could have shown the Ipod's chrome back to reflect the headlights, too.
Either way, Ipod = win.

Technically, it saved your friend's life. You could have taken yourself and you iPod and moved out of the way. :)

That's definitely a great story!

Wait a minute, you actually risked the life of your ipod by shoving it in front of a car, that is crazy......well done by the way, brave, but well done!

That's #### lucky!

How fast was the car going? Usually a car has hit you a second after you see it let alone given you time to turn on your iPod :)

I saw the car coming from down the end of the road and i knew it wouldn't see him lying in the road. I don't know why i took out my iPod of all things, but it's always on my mind, i listen to it about 70-80% of my conscious daily life (and a lot when i'm asleep too) so i thought 'hey my iPod is bright!', lol maybe i need help...but the driver said all he saw was the light from it. My friend got emotional and went and bought a 40GB and laser engraved 'Lifesaver' on the back, lol...maybe we both need help. Oh, strangely the song that was playing was 'holding out for a hero' by bonnie tyler (i was a bit reluctant to mention i had that song in my collection!) so i guess my iPod is my hero.
