I just got my new 10gb (new version) yesterday and I havent listened to that many songs yet, but so far about a 3rd of them get to a certain point in the song then skip to the next song. When I try to play the track again, it skips at the same place. If I fast forward past the point of error, then it plays fine. These are all in mp3 format, downloaded, and play fine in winamp. I tried uploading via two different programs on my PC and still had the same problem when using the same track. When i played one of the files on my computer I noticed a small click at the exact time where the ipod decides that it wants to skip, but on some of them I can't hear any errors. I dont really mind fixing a few songs, but what I am really looking for is a piece of mind. Does anyone else have a similar problem? Does this sound like an issue with my specific ipod? Should I return it or just wait for the new firmware? It doesnt sound like a hardware problem, but I guess anything is possible. BTW, I tried the reset already.
