Hello everyone

As some of you know I get my 2nd Gen 10GB iPod (my first ever Apple product :D) on Wednesday 19th and I'm just making sure I have everything I need. I installed a powered 6-pin FireWire card into my PC just now and it seems to be in order (though I have no FireWire devices to test it on) and I'm trying to decide what software to use. I have iTunes 4 for Windows but heard the Windows version doesn't sync to the iPod. Is this correct? I know that MusicMatch JukeBox 7.5 comes with my iPod but I have MusicMatch JukeBox 7.2 on CD (not actually installed right now) and don't like it. I'm willing to shell out a few bob to get something satisfactory. I've heard good things about J. River Media Center 9.1. What do you guys think of it? Any other suggestions?

Thanks
Max

iTunes will definitely sync to your iPod from a PC. It is free and works well as a music management system and seamlessly with the iPod.
MC9 is a great program that is full featured and a much more powerful music management system but it comes at a price, $40.

Check through the Windows Software forums here at the Lounge which can be found by scrolling down on this page http://www.ipodlounge.com/forums/index.php?s=

You will get plenty of opinions reading through those threads.

Thanks. I guess I'll just use iTunes 4 for Windows then. Someone told me that only the Mac version syncs to iPod and that the PC version doesn't but I'll assume that's not the case.

Thanks!

Most certainly not the case.

I don't know about syncing, all I know is that i LOVE iTunes. I downloaded it and now I use it to play music all the time. Use it, definitely.
