Okay. My brother has a Sony CD player with a headphone jack input that says AUX on top of it. I was wondering if I can play my ipod with this AUX input with a Male to Male cable? Just wanted to know. All advices welcome.

Anyone know where I can get a Male to Male 3.5mm cord in a retail store as in Best Buy or Circuit City?

Both those stores should sell them.

Hm.. I checked both sites on the internet but no results. I'll just have to go in personally then. Thanks anyways.

I just bought a Sony aux input head unit as well. Before I did though, I tested it with my pod. I wasn't gonna accept any male to male cable except the Monster male to male. Luckily Fry's had one and I tried that but it was too loose in the ipod jack, so the pod kept stopping (in the same way the Monster RCA to mini is too loose in my 60 gb photo pod but is fine with the dock. I then bought a Belkin Mini Stereo Audio Cable from Walmart of all places for under 5 bucks, it's working great, it's 6 feet long. (After driving to every store I could think of in search of this cable.) They are carrying ipods in the store now and this cable is located next to the pod accessories. I have bad experiences with Radio Shack cables. Whichever one you buy, make sure it's STEREO. Just my experience.

How well does it work ? Sound quality ? I was thinking of getting ipod2car adapter as well if the AUX solution doesn't work.

I'm really enjoying it so far. :) Just using that aux mini male to male cable so far. I think the Belkin Auto Kit has a built in amplifier (dock to mini), but haven't tried that yet.
If you are thinking about it go to Best Buy or Circuit City and take a cable and your pod with you and try it out yourself. That's the best way to know, 'cause everyone's taste in sound is a bit different.
