Does anyone know if its OK to keep this plugged into the car even after I turn off the ignition? I ask because the charger light is on and it still displays the charge info on the iPod (5th gen 30gb). I don't want the iPod screen to retain an afterimage no do I want to damage my car (E39 Bimmer).

TIA:)

if you turn off your car and the monster stays on i would unplug it. if its on its drawing power, and though its unlikely since its just a small light, it may kill your battery. leaving your ipod plugged in when the car is off is a dumb idea, it may damage the screen, plus i just wouldn't leave my ipod in my car, its exposed to weather, sun, cold, hot, moisture, other people...if people see a sweet ipod and charger nicely displayed in your bmw...they may break in and take it...or both your car and ipod
