This is for all of you who either a) have the iPod photo b) have the latest video iPod or c) have had both.

My dad bought our family a Powermac g5 right before the quad-processor ones came out (in September). With this purchase if you bought a iPod you got some rediculous rebate, so I got the 60gb iPod for $150 after rebate. This was two weeks before the video and the quad-blablabla Power Mac's came out.

Needless to say I was a bit annoyed, Oh well...
Now I'm starting to use my iPod more (I barely used it at first) and I was debating selling my iPod photo on ebay and getting a iPod video. Is this a lucrative and vain choice or are the iPod videos acctually fun enough to make the switch over? On ebay the latest 60gb iPod Photo prices seemed to be $300-$350. So I'd be spending $50-$100 (give or take a little) to get a 60gb iPod Video.

Opinions, comments, advice, ect... PLEASE GIVE!!!

Can you put .avi's or TRANSFER .avi's or .mpg's to required format for iPod? I have a few films on my computer that are in .avi or .mpg form that I'd like to watch on my iPod but I dunno if I can.

Any help/tips/opinions?

if you think you will really use the video feature, go for it! plus you get more battery life, and a slimmer size. just be sure to cover up with a case or IS to prevent scratches!!!!

Thanks for the tips.

Newmie66, I see that you have 3 different iPods. May I ask why? What's the point? That's almost a grands worth of $$$ spend on iPods.
