Just wondering if its any good?
Apparently, you get track info etc on the display and can control the ipod from the controls on the unit, leaving your ipod nicely tucked away.

No personal knowledge, but Goodmans = cheap rubbish.
Plus every man and his dog now boasts "iPod ready", which simply means, line-in.

I just edited my original post. It sounds like it has a dock connector.
I think i'll have to take a look at one.
I know Goodmans arent exactly Blaupunkt, but it cant be any worse than the bog standard radio in my Citroen. (plus im not rich!)

Just got one t Argos.
It comes with a dock connector that will charge the ipod, as well as everything else i said. Has got the "Made for iPod" logo.
I'll post again when I have installed it and had a play.

Looks good! I might invest in something like that in the future but at the moment just brought a Griffin iTrip Auto which charges and transmits it to the radio. The quality is pretty neat, and if you get a car holder for the iPod you've got the wkd click-wheel control system to hand instead of normal car radio controls. It's a good alternative if you want an easier installation.

mmmm. Didnt expect the ipod to be completely unusable once connected (although I guess thats probably normal for this type of radio). The dock connector didnt work unless it was pushed in then pulled back slightly. When connected, you could get the song info on the display and select the songs by artist, album etc, skip tracks, ff and rew, pause, and the ipod was charging.
However, I like using the ipod to select tracks, playlists, skip and rate the tracks, so I went and got a radio with an Aux connector instead.
Didnt suit me, but may suit someone who wants to shove the ipod in the glovebox. A steal at 80 quid.
