Dead iPod on Screen

Hi There i Have a Coulour iPod that i have just sold to my mate and ever since he has had it things have gone wrong
And the lastest problem seems to be an iPod with to crosses for eyes has come up on the iPod i Wonder if anyone can tell me what this means
