So I had Don install the sub for me which is awesome (thanks Don). He basically spliced into the back of the Headunit. Now the CDs sound and play good, nice bass. But when I turn on the iPod which is directly wires through the aux input, it completly sounds flat. Highs and mids are there but absolutely no lows! I tested the same song on that I burned on cd through the ipod and there is absolutely no bass coming from the ipod. Does any1 have a clue of why this could be happening? I am very dissapointed int htis thing and thought that the direct connection would be nice. But I mean what could be the reason in the no bass response? Any help in the matter would be greatly aprpeciated. Thanks, guys.

Could it be that somehow the aux cd changer input is bypassing the spliced low freuqency or something of the sort? I tried it through an fm modulator and the bass sounds fine although overall sound is crap since its through fm. But I am completely speachless as to why this is happening?!! Any1 have a clue?

The iPod has never had great bass response, but you must have a problem with the wiring. I had the same problem when I hooked up my latest head unit. Turned out that I needed to hook up the remote amp turn on wire.
