Greetings ya'll, I hope somebody out there can provide me with some answers to my question. I've got a 60 GB, Color/Photo iPod I bought last summer. Problem is, the thing has been acting quite oddly lately. Occasionally, I cannot turn the power off the iPod, merely pause songs. To fix that., I have been hard resetting and that has worked. Also, occasionally while playing a song, the audio will stop for a moment, and then continue. Again, this happens occasionally.
However, this week two new behaviors have started, and they don't seem right. I was trying to play an album, and clicked on the first song, and the iPod proceeded to cycle through the rest of the album. To fix this, I did another hard reset. Secondly, album artwork is getting shuffled between albums for some reason. For example the artwork for Tommy is now Jefferson Airplane. In Itunes, the artwork is still Tommy, but when I'm using it normally, the art is different.
Now, I told this to my tech savvy brother, and he said something that: "Sounds like hardrive failing or fragmentation." His prognosis makes sense, but I figured I would ask you guys who have more expertise in the matter. So if anyone has any suggestions or information, it's much appreciated.
