Hi Podloungers,
Have been deeply soul searching for a solution to this problem:
After adding some songs to my ipod a few days ago, I've noticed that now my ipod only plays certain albums, the remaining simply skip through the songs as I try to play them.
The songs display with the song length but just go to the next after a second or so.
I've tried resetting and updating the ipod - with 10/01/06 update. The only other option I have been advised of by apple is to restore the ipod but the sad thing is this is a back up of all my songs before I left Australia - I'm now living in the UK... hence I have no way to recover the songs that aren't playing.
When the ipod is plugged in Itunes shows the songs, but when I attempt to play the songs that are affected, an exclamation mark appears next to the file.
I know I should have been a smart cookie and backed the ipod up to avoid this pain. But if anyone else has had this happen to them and found a way to recover the songs without a full restore - your help is much appreciated..
Cheers all
Sue
