I have an iPod photo that was originally set up to work on a windows machine. It is running a fairly old version of the iPod software and doesn't auto update.
I have now switched to a Mac machine. My iPod works fine and iTunes even detects that a new version of the iPod software is available. My understanding is that this new software would also allow auto updating again - hurray.
Thing is when I try and run the updater it says that I can't update because my iPod is configured for Windows.
So my question is - how do I get my iPod software updated? If I reset back to the factory settings will this work? Is there another way of converting my windows iPod to a Mac iPod?
Any help very much appreciated.
Chris.
