Backup Blues

Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. Help! I read some of the threads in the forum on backing up the iPod photo and it seems easy enough. I haven't ever backed up my iTunes adn figure I better with 2500+ songs. I am choosing data CD and placing a RW CD in my D drive. After it checks my playlist, I get a message box that says theh backup will be spread over more than one disk. I now have three options, none of which works.
1. I can select data disks, and I get an error message.
2. I can select cancel, but it starts checking the playlist all over again.
3. I can close the text box, but it starts checking the playlist all over again.

I just loaded the latest itunes update this weekend and wonder if this is a glitch due to the update. Any suggestions? Many thanks!

Well, my suggestions (assuming you're running WinXP):

1. Use a DVD instead of multiple CD's if you have a DVD burner.
2. Select all the songs from their resident folder on your hard drive and simply drag them to your target (burning) drive. Windows will burn them to CD/DVD for you with it's native burn support. It's just easier, IMO.
