Hi all,
I've had my 4G since the middle of last year. I've noticed lately that the top portion of the clickwheel doesn't seem to work nearly as well as the rest. It's almost like it's less sensitive than the rest of the wheel.
For instance, when I'm scrolling through menus, the area around the MENU label only seems to move through the menu a couple of clicks (i.e. it only clicks once or twice). The rest of the wheel is smooth.
This issue is most noticable when I'm changing the volume. When I use that portion of the clickwheel, the volume doesn't just go up or down a little - it jumps up and down. It makes it difficult to adjust the volume. Like I said, the other portions of the wheel seem to work just fine.
I've done nothing physically to the iPod. I always keep it in a nice case and am very careful with it.
Any ideas on what this can be and what might fix it? My wife's iPod (bought on the same night, at the same store as mine) is working perfectly.
Thanks
