Last few seconds of track cut off

Playing tracks at random on the iPod, some tracks have the last few seconds missing: it jumps into the start of the next track. It seems this is tracks I've edited before saving, but the source files are complete: it's the iPod that's cutting them off. Any ideas? Thanks!

do they play completely in iTunes? if so, try resetting the ipod. (flip hold switch on and off, press and hold menu and center buttoms at the same time. screen will go blank, apple logo will appear, load, and return to main menu.) that usually fixes sound problems for me.
