itunes tells me I have more disk space than ipod does

Hello gang,

Apparently, according to my itunes screen, I have 10 GB of room left, while the ipod ABOUT screen tells me I have 8 GB of space available.

Both indicate the same amount of songs and photos on the disk.

Anyone know the reason for the discrepancy?

Thats quite odd. The only way to really tell is with your computer. What does Windows/OS X say?
