Headphones

Ok, just a quick question. My headphones crapped out on me so I requested a new pair under warranty from Apple and they have been shipped today.

Now when searching the forums for what other people did inmy situation most people claimed they didn't have to send their broken buds back. I received an email from Apple saying that I would have to send my old ones back, or be charged $23 Cdn.

Anyone else run into the situation where the website/email said they would have to return them, but then not really have to?
Or do I just have to return them?

well it says in there website if u ask for a replacement theyll send u ones but u have to the messed ups ones back or they will charge 19.00us in ur CreditCard well thats what happen to me so i send mine back

Why even bother with the headphones that come with the Ipod, they don't do justice of what the IPod can put out.

Save the hassle of calling Apple in order to get a $0.50 headphones.

Get some decent headphones that will last and that bring out the real music from the IPod.

I pretty much didn't bother opening the headphones that came with the IPod.

so did you have to return your earbuds? I asked for a new pair today as well, cos mine keeps emitting static noise. I also got an email saying I have to send them back.

Yup, had to return them.
But it was easy and all done at Apple's expense.

You're not even exaggerating - my local dollar store sells a 2-pack of earbuds, almost indentical in quality to the iPod pack-ins.

My replacements are on the way and I'm sending the old ones back too. Don't wanna play $20 for $.50 headphones. lol I only like them for the plug. I wish more headphones had the straight plug.
