The video iPod has been out for a while now. If my 20gb color photo iPod was to *break* or stop working and I was to send it in to get it replaced, would they send me back a video iPod or is Apple still highly stocked with regular color iPods? The warranty I have lasts a whole year so maybe if I wait till the end of the year?

You may get a refurbed 20GB or a newer model but,

why not, they ripped my ### off by releasing a damn video iPod a month after i dropped $300 on a goddamn color one.......#######s...

They didn't rip you off - you just cannot stay ahead of technology. If you are so unhappy, why didn't you try to return it to your place of purchase last Fall when the new models came out? By the time your warranty is up, another model will likely be introduced. So it goes with technology products.
