Overall my experience so far with the iCruze has been quite good. I went ahead and installed it myself and it works great. I'm 17 and this is the first big project i've done on my car. I learned LOTS.
The iCruze doesn't let you use the iPod screen or controls, so i chose to store the iPod in the center console. My CD changer was also in this location, so i had to remove that too.

The one thing that you MUST know before proceeding in installing this yourself is the wiring diagram. In my car there were just hundreds of wires, all with different colored stripes. I was lucky enough to find the scematics online. In my case the white/red cable provided constant 12V, and the Black/Pink cable provided 12VAccessory power. The wiring was easy to install, just follow the directions that come with the iCruze. The easiest way to splice into the existing wires is getting a Tap-in located at RadioShack (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2104093&cp=&kw=tap+in&parentPage=search)

The interface module that is different for every car was installed in the trunk near the amp/control box. I had to pull back the carpet and plug everything in.

Because I had to connect this in the trunk, i had to use the extension kit to reach my stereo. I removed the plastic panels in the floor and routed the cable under the pedals to behind the stereo.
