I have a computer mic. I will record something, then send it to someone. When they play it or I play it back to myself it's so low, you have to turn the volume up so much..why? I have the mic volume up in the control panel..

The mic amp on your soundcard may be underpowered?
Just a guess.

Hmm...It's probably your soundcard then.
They're not too expensive to replace anymore ($20 US), so that is always an option.
