This is rediculous! For a MP3 to stay in your SLVR library it must be in your iTunes (PC) library. All my CDs are ripped into Lossless and the Motorola SLVR only allows MP3's. I don't want a bunch of duplicate songs on my iTunes library. I tried disabling Autoplay, but no luck. Anyone worked around this before? Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

well... im gonna buy a rokr e1 at the end of the month (or a slvr, depends). I had an iPod before. If it's anything like it, then you'd have to connect your phone, go to the preferences window in iTunes and disable automatic sync, putting it in manual. Then, it'd just be a matter of converting to mp3, passing them manually, and then erasing them off the computer. Of course, you'll have to drag/drop the music files yourself.
I just might be mistaken, though.
edit: forgot to mention. DO NOT reactivate autosync, or the files that are not in your libreary, but are in your phone, they WILL be deleted off your phone.

Just bought a SLVR (Cingular)...like the phone functions a lot. Not so thrilled with the execution of iTunes.
It worked flawlessly with my desktop at work, but it has this big quirk with my laptop. The phone shows up in iTunes (6.0.4.2), but whenever I go to drag music to it, it says that it can't read or write to the memory card.
Anyone ever hear of this one before? Any possible solutions? It's set for manual sync and to convert files to 128K AAC in the Phone preferences.
