Getting mine Monday or Tuesday...

Well, I called the store today, and I'm currently 4th on the waiting list. The guy said that the entire Friday shipment was pre-sold as soon as the announcement was made - I waited for a form to go up on their website (D'oh!). But the second shipment is due on Monday or Tuesday. I can't wait to get my first iPod!!

Which store are you planning to buy it from? Odd to see stores out of stock for the iPod.

I was just at a Compusmart today (May 10th) and they haven't recieved any iPods yet. However, their computer listed May 9th as the day that iPod was supposed to go on sale. So they're just as confused as I am. I'm getting a call on Monday which is supposedly going to update me on iPod's ETA, so I have something to look forward to.
Although I didn't pick up iPod, my trip wasn't a complete waste: I picked up a firewire card and installed it. So I'm all ready to go, come the big day. Woo-hoo!:D

This was the Compusmart Downtown. The funny thing is, the guy I talked to said that people were asking to pre-order them before anyone at the store even knew that new iPods were coming out. People in the States have also run into stores that don't have the new iPods in stock this last week... maybe Apple only allowed the stores to order a certain amount, or maybe the stores just weren't that good at estimating how many they'd need. But having a new shipment within 3 days of the first isn't that bad - gives me some time to finish downloading and tagging.

Just that I got my iPod last saturday (2nd day of release), and there were still some stock at the store. Didnt realize they were going like hotcakes ;)

The wait will definately be worth it! It took about two weeks for my iPod to come in.

Hell, my Ipod is STILL being delayed by dell, oh this is SO frustrating!
