4G causes computer restart

I have Windows XP and It comes up with a Mass Storage Device box and then the computer restarts. Here's the kicker, I've disabled my anti-virus and it still happens. Suffice it to say, it's really annoying and there's a hammer beside that looks really juicy.

I would be grateful if anybody could help with a solution.
