i dunno but when i first saw this case it really jumped out at me.

i think i might buy it but i'm afaird where the plastic and leather meets is where the scratches will come out. i know a friend with a dlo case that look somewhat like that they did more scratching to his ipod than protecting. anyways anyone have some input on the case protection or case as a whole i would like to hear it.

Only thing I could add is that Belkin leather cases tend to have big, non-removable belt clips. Well, I removed the one that was on my 5G Belkin Flip, but it was definitely a hassle, and has rendered the case fairly less attractive ... it was both stitched and glued on, and left it's mark. Just something to consider if you plan to keep the case in your pocket more than on a belt.
I really like my Belkin flip case. Looks snazy, is well made, and really protects my iPod.
However, I hated that back clip too on my belkin. I didn't break the stiches to remove mine (like I assume somegods did) - I broke the clip and pulled it out (after inserting a knife to cut the glue bond). Luckily, I didn't get that ugly look of the glue on the back and I use the back loop to clip my headphones too. I also cut off the front screen protector (I thought it looked stupid) and I use an invisibleshield on my iPod instead to protect the screen.

Very smart. I had thought in the back of my mind "I really hope this thing isn't glued, too..." right up until I realized it wouldn't budge without some gentle tearing.
Luckly there isn't any glue residue anymore, just some marks where the stitching was ripped out.

I had that one... I think its a really good case, but I think it's kinda bulky for my needs. :D

i c i c the flip case looks cool in your pictures
on the website it looks like theres a screen protector that just covers the screen and no clickwheel? like it cuts off straight and isn't even cut out around the clickwheel which i found very very odd. i can;t really tell from your pictures.

Ya that's exactly right. It just stops and looked silly - thus why I removed the screen protector from the case. Like I said, I have an Invisibleshield on the iPod anyhow, so I didn't need the Belkin screen protector. The case looks way better without it IMO.
