Ok, I have quite a high end computer and I have had my ipod for awhile and it has worked everytime with my computer but within the last month or so it has started to #### up and give me this error. Is there anyway I can fix this or is it a problem with the ipod? Is this covered by any warranties?
Thanks in Advance,
Garrett

the BSOD can be caused by any number of things
how did you determine that the iPod caused this?

First thing: run CHKDSK and cross your finger's; that should fix the problem. If still no joy:
Place the Win XP in the CDRom and boot the computer. When the setup screen appears press R
You will be taken to the Windows XP Licensing Agreement. After reading the agreement press F8 to proceed.
The next screen gives you the option to do a fresh (clean) install or to "Repair the selected Windows XP installation." Press "R"
Windows XP will copy the necessary files to your Hard Drive to begin the installation and will then reboot. You will see the message that informs you to "Press any key to boot the CD". Do not press any keys this time just wait a few seconds and the Windows Startup Screen will be displayed. Following this you will be greeted by the Windows XP Setup Screens.
When Setup has completed you should find all of your previously installed apps and settings are intact.
Good luck!

Do I really need to do all that to get it working?

Well... running CHKDSK takes what, 5 minutes? I don't really have any control over what I think will help, I can only suggest things for you to try.

If you are using a 'high end computer' you should have some desire to keep it running properly, right?
Maintenance is important to running a clean/efficient system

In the future get a good backup program like Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image and start using it. It will solve problems like this by letting you restore your computer to before it was messed up.
