Mmm...
I just bought a 30GB Vid and i hate the iPod headphonose and was looking to get a nicer pair, maybe some In-Ear ones.

Uhh.. first of all, what exactly do they mean by In-ear, just they stick in to your ear? do they really sound that better?

Whats a good pair that you can buy for under $100?
thanks for the hlep

I've been using these Sony MDREX 71's (http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start?CategoryName=pa_Headphones_FontopiaEarbud&ProductSKU=MDREX71SL%2fWK&TabName=specs&var2=) and they make ALL the difference.

EX71: Terrible. Horrible muddy sound with overpowering bass. Poor build quality since early 2005. VERY comfortable though.

E2C: Very uncomfortable. Good-ish sound.

ER6i: Very flat sound. Very tinny if not a perfect fit.

Ultimate Ears Super.fi 3 studio: Average sound, poor build quality.

Westone UM1: These are designed as musician's monitors. They are less well suited to listening for pleasure.

Why not do a search for the 'Good alternatives to the EX71' thread, or search for HJE70, HA FX55, HJE50, or CX300, all of which are good options below $100.
