Hey I saw some great Shure headphones but those are very pricey and I am not willing to spend that type of money on headphones. Anyways I got the Sony headphones MDXR... something I don't know the exact name but they come with the case, 3 sizes of earbuds, earbud holder and it is a two piece set. I dont like the two piece set and I do not think the sound is all that amazing on them. Does anybody know of great headphones (better than the iPod stock headphones) that I can purchase for less than $100?

Well with my current mp3 player i use the Sony's MDREX51LP FontopiaŽ Headphones, they are really good...blocks most of the background noise...and unlike most earbuds, they dont hurt my ears. It takes a couple of days to get used it though because they go into ur ears. other than that...u wont regret buying it.

Check out the Shure E2C, they seem to be good for the price. You could probably pick up a pair on eBay for about $60.

The Etymotics ER 6I can be purchased through Amazon or direct from Eek for less than $100. I use them on airplanes and they do an excellent job.

ER6i? Over-priced. Poorly constructed. Flat sound. Did I say over-priced?

Yes I do have a pair.

HJE70? Like iMonster says. Great value for money. Good sound. Well made. Cool enough for iPod.....

The Koss KSC75 ($13) is a clip-on that far surpasses the Sony's sound.

The Sennheiser CX 300 ($40) may be what you're looking for. (I haven't heard it.)

Along the lines of the Grados, the Alessandro Music Series One ($99) is a good choice for sound quality but too big for portable use.

The HJE70's sound better today than before for some reason O.o maybe it's that breaking-in period thing? or my ears are somehow cleaner, lol.
