Alright, i found out how to hack the standard apple earbuds to a black. So does anyone know if it is safe to hack the Super.Fi's??

here is the link to hack the standard buds:

or, an even more important question, will paint thinner take of the hacked headphones, with no damage to the original material?

I saw in another thread that you said you "just ordered" your earphones. Why hack when you can just purchase black ones? I would try and return/exchange for true black Super.fi 5 Pro's if that's an option for you. Just don't open them, and exchange for black -- shouldn't be a problem, and it's safer than applying paint thinner.

Ohh, I see :) Well, I guess hacking is the only way to go then, hehe. I don't know about the paint thinner, but I do know of people who have spray painted earphones before. Maybe you want to try on some cheap ones first to be sure? I honestly couldn't tell you if the Super.fi's would survive or not, sorry. But good luck. Maybe someone else can answer your question?
